The Working Holiday Visa is a great way to learn about New Zealand, get some Kiwi work experience and decide whether or not you want to settle in our country.
This is a visa available to people over the age of 18 and under the age of 31 for certain countries. These visas are issued by the New Zealand Government under reciprocal agreements with other countries. The holder is entitled to travel to New Zealand within one year of applying and work legally for up to one year. In most cases, the holder may only work for any one employer for 3 months, so as to encourage them to travel around New Zealand to different towns and cities.
Many Working Visa holders get employment and then decide to apply for another class of work visa and, ultimately, residency.
